Monster vocab

Today we did Monster vocab. We had to define the word stenographer by doing a skit.
Our skit was a stenographer recording what was said in court.

Another word was reassurance. Reassurance means to make someone feel better. In Monster Steve's lawyer isn't that reassuring.

A third word someone did was interject. Interject means to interrupt something. In Monster the lawyers interject each other.

I love how Eragon's new sword is blue and what happens when he says it's name.

If you liked eragon and eldest you will love this book.

I love how no matter how hard Eragon's life gets he tries to be kind and keeps going.

The major conflict is Eragon must keep the peace between the free people, while staying out of there control and fighting an evil king.

I think people who like dragons and magic will like this book.

Remember it's a 668 page book.

The plot is about a boy who finds a dragon egg. The dragon hatches and changes his life forever. He is the last Dragon Rider and must learn magic and swordsmanship to survive and escape before the evil king finds him. He constantly is fighting enemies far stronger then him but that doesn't stop him. He fight urgals,kills a shade,rescues an elf and saves the dwarf's capital. The adventure doesn't really start till Eragon's uncle was murdered by the ra'zac the natural enemy of human's.

The conflict in the story is Eragon vs Galbatorix.

I like how Saphira and Eragon share a mental link. I also like how she is a main character and gives advise to Eragon.

If you like dragons,magic, and adventure then check out this book.

But remember it is almost 500 pages long.
